A celebration adorned with popular participation and innovation

By StaffMay 30, 2007, 15:02

On June 20th, we the people of Eritrea whether residing here or abroad, will remember earnestly all those martyrs who by defeating darkness have endowed us with a bright light of freedom. As always we will remember them holding a vigil and commemorate them in a manner and style that emboldens their dedication. If Eritrea didn't have such loving patriots who devoted themselves to their people and country selflessly, it could have long been discarded from the world map failing to overcome the massive hostility and global conspiracy it faced. And as a result the rights of the people of Eritrea as well as Eritrean identity would long have been forgotten.

The respect of the people of Eritrea towards these thousands of best and chosen citizens is indeed incalculable. These fighters have defeated the bitter struggle so named ‘insurmountable' through a steadfast moral and unparalleled determination. These conscious and bold citizens, who are crown of the society, chose to express their love for their people by giving their own life. Those who love their people are twice as much loved by the people. Hence, martyrs are remembered with great enthusiasm and tenderness. The existence of the people and country of Eritrea is based on their martyrdom, while the special and very distinguished national history of Eritreans is built by their achievement. And the torch of the future Eritrea brightens more fueled by their blood. readmore
